Could have been more stars but the biggest thing were the greens on the front 9 had a lot of weed growth. Also either mowing lines or small vertical ridges, but the back 9 conditions were definitely better. Worst part was the hospitality. The starter was great- super friendly and nice guy. Pro shop guy was also super nice. The course Marshall was unnecessarily aggressive and pushy. We, as a 4-some, played the entire 18 holes in 3hrs 50min. We started at 7:40 and on hole 7 (9:10AM BTW) the Marshall came around and told us to speed it up. We finished hole 7 in SEVEN Minutes, and he met us on the…

It was our first time there and by the looks it was great at first until the an employee being the assistant manager or whatever he said he was scolded us for "too loud" whilst him and his other members of 5 others were just screaming and yelling at each other and at us occasionally. We ended up leaving early due to their disrespectful behavior towards my friend and I.

Love this course out in the country. Always well maintained and beautiful to play. Plenty challenging and greens are well kept. Friendly and helpful staff and always free cold water to keep us hydrated. The most beautiful sunsets around!

Very good course for a reasonable green fee. We have played it several times and have really enjoyed the challenge. The restaurant had great food and makes a great 19th hole.

Great track … challenging from the back tees for the low handicap and fair from the front tees. No water available on course so load up on the free water out side by the carts. Greens a little slow but fair and consistent.

I enjoyed this course. It was a bit foggy when I started just before 8am, so I played pretty conservatives the first few holes (picture is the island green on #2). Nice layout, easy to walk, a really fun local course. The back to back par 5's at the end was a nice way to finish. When I was walking off 18, it was about 11:30 or so and there was about 8 carts lined up waiting to tee off, so play early to avoid the crowds.

Greens were in good shape. Fairways were acceptable given our drought conditions. Staff was friendly.

Great place to play golf, kind of a hidden gem in Castroville. Decent sized driving range and pitching green with a separate putting green. Good sized snack bar with good selections. Pro shop has good options. Staff was friendly. This can be a tricky course if you don't watch you shot selection
